Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States 

Eugene LeShore was appointed State Chief of Staff on June 2019 at the 89th annual convention in Orlando, Florida. 

Eugene Leshore was elected to a two-year term on the VFW’s National Council of Administration in 2005 representing District 12, the state of Florida.

LeShore served with the U.S. Marine Corps in Vietnam from 1969-71.  His decorations include the Vietnam Service Medal with one bronze campaign star, Good Conduct Medal, Rifle marksman Badge, Vietnam Campaign Medal with device, Vietnam Services Medal with two bronze campaign stars, Republic of Vietnam Meritorious Unit Citation, "Gallantry Cross Color with Palm”, Republic of Vietnam Meritorious Unit Citation "Civil Action First Class Color with Palm”, Combat Action Ribbon, Vietnam Meritorious Unit Commendation, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal and National Defense Service Medal. 

In 1985, LeShore joined the VFW at Post 10174 in Saint Petersburg, Florida, where he maintains his Life Membership.  He has served the VFW at the Post level, District level and he was the VFW Department of Florida State Commander from 2001-2002. LeShore has also served on various national committees through the years. 

LeShore is retired from the Department of Veterans Affairs.  He is not only a life member of the Veterans of Foreign wars but he is also a member of the American Legion, Military Order of the Cooties and Disabled American Veterans. 

He and his wife Liz, make their home in Saint Petersburg, Florida.
