Michael "Mike” Cline

Michael "Mike” Cline was elected to the office of State Surgeon at the 2025 VFW Department of Florida State Convention in Orlando, Florida.
Mike enlisted in the United States Navy in 1983 in Pensacola, Florida and served as a Hospital Corpsman on four ships, one during Operation Desert Shield, various shore commands, and his most rewarding assignment was as an Instructor at the Naval Hospital Corps School in Great Lakes, IL.
Mike joined Veterans of Foreign Wars in 1984, upon receiving Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal in support of Operation Beirut Lebanon and has been affiliated with Posts in Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Florida.
Mike has served in multiple positions in the VFW Posts,
Districts, State and National Levels.
While Service as Quartermaster at VFW Post 706 he was awarded All State and All American from 2018-2020, Post Commander All State and All American from 2021-2023. Mike has also as District One Commander received All State and All American from 2022-2023. He resigned so he was able to take over operations of the VFW Veterans Village in 2023-2024. Mike has been Patriots Pen Chairperson for the VFW Department of Florida. Mike has also had Multiple National Aide De Camp appointments and Special Aide De Camp in 2022-2023.
Mike is a VFW member of Post 10209 where he is a Legacy Life Gold Member. Mike is also a Life member of the Military Order of the Cooties, VFW District 7 Riders Group, Life Member of DAV, Life Member of the AMVET, Member of the American Legion 418, and 418 Riders group.
Mike is currently the Operations Manager of VFW Veterans Village.
Mike has three Children Will (VFW Member), Crystal, and
Nick as well as five grandchildren and one due in the Spring of 2026.
