Glenn Wright was elected to the office of State Commander, Veterans of Foreign Wars Department of Florida June 2024 Convention in Orlando, Florida. Glenn joined the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Jacksonville, Florida, Wesconnett Post 7909  and is a Gold Legacy Life Member. He was Commander for 8 years and has been awarded All-State and All-American Commander multiple times. Glenn has also served in many post chairs and has chaired the Department Voice of Democracy, Community Service, and Homeless Veterans Support Assistant Northern Region programs for the past 3 years. Glenn has served as District 6 Adjutant since 2013. He is also a proud member of the Military Order of the Cooties (MOC) and has been the Custodian of the Crummy Duffle Bag (CCDB) for 8 years. 

Glenn is a Gulf War veteran and served in the US Navy for 22 years. He retired as a Senior Chief Petty Officer in 2006. His awards include 4 Navy Commendation and 4 Navy Achievement Medals and numerous others.

Glenn and his wife Kathy live in Jacksonville, Florida and have 2 children and 2 grandchildren.
