Wayne was appointed to the office of State Chaplain, Veterans of Foreign Wars  Department of Florida in June, 2023 in Orlando Florida. Wayne is a Gold Legacy Life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He also serves on the VFW Veterans Village Home Board. 

Wayne has served as District 21 Commander from 2020-2022, achieving All State and All American honors. He was the Post Commander of VFW Post 10209 for 2 years. Wayne also held numerous offices at VFW Post 4412. 

Wayne served in the US Army from 1976-1996 as a Sr. Non-Commissioned Officer. Assignments with the 1st Infantry Division, 3rd Armor Division, 10th Mn Division, 101stAirborne Division and numerous other divisions. 

Wayne’s awards include Meritorious Service Medal, four Army Commendation Medals, four Army Achievement Medals, Southwest Asia Medal with two Bronze stars, Kuwaiti Liberation Medal, Korean Service Medal and numerous others. 

Wayne lives in Spring Hill, Florida with his wife Tammy. They have two sons and two daughters as well as five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
